Women’s Rugby Almost Pulls Off Comeback Victory At Navy

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Princeton University women's rugby team almost pulled off an epic comeback victory against Navy Saturday at the Prusmack Rugby Field, but ended up falling just short, 24-19.
Celia Watson scored her fifth try of the season for Princeton, while Amelia Clarke scored for the second time and Malinka Kwemo for the first.
Navy got off to a strong start in the first half and led 19-0 at halftime.
The Tigers showed incredible grit and resilience in the second half, with Watson scoring at 45:05 to make it 19-5. With 18 minutes remaining, Clarke crossed the line and brought the deficit down just a single try at 19-12.
While Navy scored in the 76th minute to make it 24-12, Kwemo scored on the final play of the match, which saw the match end with a final score of 24-19.
