Princeton Takes Third Place at Paul Short Run
October 05, 2024 | Women's Cross Country
BETHLEHEM, PENN. – With the top-Tiger finisher Mena Scatchard taking 10th place overall, the Princeton women's cross country team took third place in the 50th annual Paul Short Run on Saturday.
In a field of 42 teams that featured six other Ivy rivals, Princeton finished on the podium with 155 points, topped only by Harvard (134) and UConn (148).
"Strong showing today in a massive field of 40+ teams and nearly 400 individuals. Our top four finishers in the Gold Race, Mena Scatchard, Anna McNatt, Lexi Allen and Emma de Jong really did a nice job of paving the way. I was excited to see Peyton Leigh competing well in the open race and Emily Cooper had a much improved showing from our last race in September. We walk away hungry for more while celebrating potential for what is to come throughout the championship season ahead. Go Tigers!" - Head Coach Brad Hunt
The meet was hosted by Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Penn., with Tigers competing in the women's gold and open 6k races.
Scatchard clocked in at 20:15.3, kicking out three runners in her second split for tenth place overall.
