Fencing Teams to Open 2024-25 Season Sunday at Penn's Elite Invite

Princeton's fencing teams, ranked No. 4 in the nation on both the men's and women's sides in the U.S. Fencing Coaches Association's preseason poll, will open its season on Sunday at the Elite Invitational at Penn.

The schedule of the day, listed below, includes four top-10 opponents for the Tiger women and three top-10 opponents for the Tiger men.

Princeton, which saw both Tiger teams win Ivy League team titles last season, returns three 2024 All-Ivy women's honorees in épée Sydney Tyler, sabers Alexandra Lee and Honor Johnson and three 2024 All-Ivy men's honorees in épée Alec Brooke and sabers Ronald Anglade and Matthew Limb.

Princeton finished fourth in the combined men's/women's NCAA team championships last year, returning seven of its 11 NCAA Championship participants in Lee, foil Elizabeth He, épée Jessica Lin, Limb, foils Ethan Um and David Prilutsky, and Brooke.

Following the day at Penn, Princeton will head to the Sacred Heart Duals, hosted by Vassar, on Dec. 8.
