A big second period from the visiting Dartmouth Big Green stymied Princeton in the finale of the home opening weekend at Hobey Baker Rink as Dartmouth scored three times in the middle frame en route to a 5-1 final score.

Ian Devlin scored for the Tigers, netting his first career goal late in the third period to spoil the Dartmouth shutout bid.

The Big Green got on the board first, with Cam MacDonald swatting home a CJ Foley pass at the goalmouth with 1:36 left to play in the opening stanza.

The second period was all Dartmouth as they tacked on three more goals to build a 4-0 lead after 40:00 of play. Sean Chisholm scored 0:47 in on the power play and Hayden Stavroff followed 1:20 later to give the Big Green a 3-0 lead.

Chisholm would then bookend his period with his second goal of the night with 6:44 left in the middle period.

Steven Townley tacked on a fifth goal for Dartmouth midway through the third period, tapping in the rebound of a John Fusco shot.

The Tigers head on the road for the first time next weekend, heading to Yale (November 15) and Brown (November 16).
