Men's Tennis Outlasts Yale, Advances To Final At ECAC Championships

PHILADELPHIA – The Princeton University men's tennis team outlasted Yale, 4-3, Saturday evening at the Hecht Tennis Center and advanced to the final at the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships.
Despite Sebastian Sec and Ellis Short defeating Jim Ji and Eric Lee at No. 3, 7-5, the Tigers dropped the doubles point to the Bulldogs.
Princeton responded strongly in singles, with Aleksandar Mitric knocking off Walker Oberg 6-3, 6-2 t No. 6 then Ellis Short earning a 3-6, 6-2, 6-2 triumph at No. 5 over Roee Benya. No. 69 Paul Inchauspe overcame falling in the first set to bounce back and beat No. 73 Theo Dean at No. 1, 5-7, 6-3, 6-3, then Fnu Nidunjianzan clinched the match for the Tigers at No. 2, outlasting Vigneesh Gogineni 6-4, 4-6, 7-5.
