No. 22 Women's Swimming & Diving Adds Three More Event Titles At Ivy Championships

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – After adding three more event titles inside the Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatic Center, the No. 22 Princeton University women's swimming & diving team ended the second night of competition at the Ivy League Championships sitting first on a night where the Tigers were presented with the Dual Meet Championship trophy.
The Tigers event championship total now sits at five and with 523 points are over 100 points clear of Harvard, who are second with 422.5 points. With 417.5 points, Yale is currently third.
Princeton also set two new meet records and two new pool records.
500 Freestyle
With a time of 4:46.47, Ellie Marquardt finished fifth in the A final and earned an NCAA B cut. Hayley Clark touched fourth in the B final in 4:51.23 and Emily Appleton seventh in 4:51.70. In the C final, Caroline Lewitt's time of 4:53.14 saw her finish second in the C final.
200 IM
A dominant event for Princeton, the Tigers earned the top-four finishes in the 200 IM and earned four NCAA B cuts. Five from Princeton advanced to the A final, with Dakota Tucker clocking in at 1:56.77 to win the event, Margaux McDonald at 1:56.96 to finish second, Eliza Brown at 1:59.08 to finish fourth and Liza Whitmire at 2:00.89 to finish sixth.
50 Freestyle
Three Tigers advanced to the A final in the 50 freestyle. Sabrina Johnston earned the win with a time of 22.07, which set new meet and pool records and tied the school record set by Lisa Boyce '14 in 2014. In addition, Johnston's time was an NCAA B cut. Ela Noble touched the wall at 22.13 to finish second, a time that was an NCAA B cut and also topped the previous pool record. Smithwick came in seventh in 22.86. In the B final, Isabella finished eighth in 23.43.
1-Meter Diving
Francesca Noviello made it through to the A final, where she finished sixth with a score of 272.30. After earning a score of 255.95, Maddie Seltzer finished second in the B final.
200 Freestyle Relay
Princeton ended the night on a high note in the 200 freestyle relay. Along with earning a first-place finish, the quarter of Johnston, Noble, Smithwick and Korbly set new meet and pool records with a time of 1:29.03. Their time was also an NCAA B cut.
