Women’s Tennis Outlasts Kentucky, 4-3

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton University women's tennis team battled back to outlast Southeastern Conference (SEC) opponent Kentucky, 4-3, in a thriller Sunday afternoon inside Jadwin Gymnasium.
Princeton showed its resilience after the Wildcats won the doubles point. Neha Velaga earned an impressive 6-4, 6-4, victory at No. 1 over Elizabeth Stevens and Alice Ferlito overcame Ellie Myers at No. 6, 6-0, 6-0. Despite dropping the first set, Madeleine Jessup battled back at No. 4 to defeat Zoe Hammond, 2-6, 7-5, 7-5 before Maia Sung, who also fell in the first set, clinched the match for Princeton at No. 2 with a 6-7, 6-3, 6-1, triumph over Ellie Eades.
