Women’s Tennis Open ECAC Championships With 4-1 Victory Over Cornell

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Princeton University women's tennis team opened the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships with a 4-1 victory over Cornell Friday morning at the Murr Center.
In doubles, Leena Bennetto and Eva Elbaz took down Michelle Ryndin and Alexandra Savu at No. 2, 6-3, and the duo of Alice Ferlito and Madeleine Jessup dispatched Victoria Zhao and Jenny Wong at No. 3, 7-5, as the Tigers won the doubles point.
Bennetto would overcome Emma Baker at No. 2 in singles, 6-2, 6-0, before Neha Velaga earned a 7-5, 6-4, triumph at No. 1 over Lauren Stein. Ferlito's 6-2, 7-5, win at No. 5 over Gia Graziano at No. 5 clinched the match for Princeton.
