Both a part of two NCAA tournament teams, rising seniors Heather MacNab and Tyler McCamey have been named team captains ahead of the 2024 season.Â
"It is my pleasure to announce Tyler McCamey and Heather MacNab as co-captains for 2024," Princeton coach Sean Driscoll said. "Since their arrival on campus, they have been steadfast in their commitment to maximize their potential technically, tactically, physically, and mentally. Honestly, they have left no stone unturned in their pursuit of greatness. Our staff has been inspired by their relentless determination, avoidance of complacency, and unquestionable passion for Princeton women's soccer. Most importantly, Tyler and Heather are wonderful human beings that deeply care about their teammates and the legacy of this program. We could not ask for better ambassadors to represent our team, university, and alumnae base."
MacNab and McCamey were part of both the 2021 and 2023 teams that reached the second round of the NCAA tournament.Â
MacNab, a forward, played in 55 games over her first three seasons, starting 33 and scoring 11 goals while assisting on 15 others for 37 points. McCamey has been Princeton's lead goalkeeper the last two seasons, with her most recent performance a 110-minute road shutout of Texas Tech in the second round of the 2023 NCAAs.
The Tigers will begin competition for the 2024 season in late August.
