Four Earn All-American Honors as Jenkins Makes NCAA Semifinals

Senior saber Ryan Jenkins closed her Princeton career with a third All-American honor on Friday at the NCAA Championships, making the semifinals as one of four Tigers to earn All-American status as the women's competition came to a close.
Jenkins won 18 of her 23 pool bouts to earn the top overall seed, but St. John's' Julia Cieslar won the semifinal bout 15-9 to advance to the final.
In the team standings, Princeton is fourth, with 64 wins. Harvard leads with 87, followed by Columbia with 81 and Notre Dame with 73.
Competition will continue on Saturday when the men take to the strips, starting with épée at 9 a.m., foil at 11 a.m. and saber at 1:30 p.m. Live scoring is available here and here with video of the pool bouts here and here.
Jenkins' saber teammate, rookie Alexandra Lee, earned All-American honors in her NCAA debut, finishing seventh, while both épées were All-Americans as well. Senior Ariana Rausch finished seventh to earn All-American recognition for the first time in her career, and junior Jessica Lin made it three for three in her career in earning the honor, finishing ninth. Sophomore foil Elizabeth He finished 22nd in her NCAA Championships debut.
