No. 30 Men's Tennis Falls At No. 10 Columbia
April 05, 2024 | Men's Tennis
NEW YORK – The No. 30 Princeton University men's tennis team fell to No. 10 Columbia Friday afternoon at the Philip & Cheryl Milstein Family Tennis Center, 4-0.
"Credit to Columbia they played very well and defended their home turf very well," said Head Coach Billy Pate. "We simply did a poor job today of getting our teeth into the match. It was a disappointing result given how where I feel we are as a team this year. However, we have a tough and resilient group and I fully expect us to rebound on Sunday against Cornell which promises to be another great opportunity."
Prior to the match ending, Fnu Nidunjianzan was leading No. 87 Alex Kotzen at No. 2, 7-6 (7-5). While he dropped the first set, No. 39 Paul Inchauspe was leading No. 20 Michael Zheng 4-3 in the second while Landon Ardila led Max Westphal 5-4 in the second after falling the first set.
