No. 28 Paul Inchauspe Named Rookie Of The Year, No. 33 Men’s Tennis Earns Four All-Ivy Honors

PRINCETON, N.J. – No. 28 Paul Inchauspe was named Rookie of the Year and the No. 33 Princeton University men's tennis team received four All-Ivy League honors Wednesday afternoon as the Ivy League announced its postseason awards.
Inchauspe was also named unanimous First Team All-Ivy League in singles and was joined on the First Team by Fnu Nidunjianzan, who earns First Team honors for the second-straight season. Sebastian Sec garnered Second Team honors in singles, while Inchauspe and Filippos Astreinidis were named Second Team in doubles. Alan Kam was also named Academic All-Ivy League.
Also ranked No. 28 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) singles rankings and selected to compete at the NCAA Championships in the singles competition, Inchauspe is the sixth Ivy Rookie of the Year in program history and the first since Karl Poling '22, who won the award in 2019. With a 29-10 singles records, he leads the team in singles wins, with nine of them coming over nationally ranked opponents. In the dual season, Inchauspe compiled a 20-6 record, going 19-6 at the No. 1 position. In Ivy play, he went 5-1.
Nidunjianzan, now a two-time First Team All-Ivy honoree, has a 25-12 record and has defeated four nationally ranked opponents. In Ivy play, playing at the No. 2 spot, Nidnunjianzan went 2-1.
Sec, who was named to the First Team, has a 23-10 record along with a 5-2 record in Ivy competition playing at the No. 3 spot.
The duo of Inchauspe and Astreinidis are ranked No. 29 in the ITA doubles rankings and were named as alternates for the NCAA Championships in the doubles competition. Overall, they went 10-5, earning four ranked wins and a 3-3 record in Ivy play.
The No. 33 Tigers are in action next in the Round of 64 at the NCAA Championships against No. 41 VCU at 1 p.m. ET on May 3 in Charlottesville, Virginia.
