
Jamea Jackson Named Coach Of The Year; Two From No. 39 Women’s Tennis Named All-Ivy

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Ivy League announced its postseason awards Thursday afternoon and No. 39 Princeton University women's tennis team Head Coach Jamea Jackson was named Coach of the Year while Neha Velaga was selected to the First Team and Maia Sung to the Second Team.
Additionally, Sung was named Academic All-Ivy League.
Jackson, in her second season leading the Tigers, guided Princeton to its fifth-straight Ivy title in 2024, along with a fifth-straight NCAA Tournament appearance. She earns the program's sixth Coach of the Year honor.
Velaga was named to the First Team in singles for the third her career, as she also received honors in 2023 and 2022. Playing at the No. 1 position, she tallied a 4-2 record in conference play and a 10-8 record overall during the dual season.
Sung earns all-conference honors for the second time in her career, as she was named Second Team All-Ivy in doubles in 2023. In Ivy League competition, Sung had a record of 5-2 playing at No. 2 and No. 3.
The No. 39 Tigers are in action next in Charlottesville, Virginia, in the Round of 64 at the NCAA Tournament against No. 26 Washington (17-10, 5-5) on May 4 at 10 a.m. ET.
