Fantinelli Surges To Third Place Finish At Rod Myers Invitational With School-Record -7

Results
Riccardo Fantinelli put together a third round to remember to close out the Rod Myers Invitational hosted by Duke, posting a 65 (-7) to surge towards the top of the leaderboard and finish tied for No. 3 overall. The -7 sets a new program record for low round to par dating back to 1994 and matches the low total score which is now been achieved six times.
Fantinelli's 65 was tied for the low round of the day and was the second-lowest round of the tournament and saw him pass 15 golfers to climb from T18 to T3 when all was said and done. Overall for teh tournament, he was -7 (70-74-65; 209) after finishing at even par over the opening 36 holes on Sunday.
As a team, Princeton was T6 (+2; 292-290-284) after closing with a team score of -4 in the third round.
After starting out with four consecutive pars, Fantinelli birded each of the next four holes. Ultimately he birdied eight of his final 14 holes to rocket up the leaderboard. Overall over the 54 holes, he carded 18 birdies.
