Catherine Rao Named Preseason All-American By Golfweek Magazine

Golfweek Preseason All-Americans

Junior Catherine Rao has been named a third-team preseason All-American by Golfweek Magazine, one of 30 collegiate golfer's selected by the publication heading into the start of the 2024-25 season.

Rao missed all of the 2023-24 season with injury, but is set to return and follow up on a 2022-23 rookie year which saw her earn Ivy League Rookie of the Year honors and a first-team All-Ivy selection. She was runner-up at the 2023 Ivy League Championship, one of three top-two finishes during the season which saw her share medalist honors at the Columbia Classic.

Currently ranked No. 63 in the world in the World Amateur Golf Rankings, recently reached the quarterfinals of the U.S. Women's Amateur and the Round of 16 at the Women's British Amateur -- following up quarterfinal runs in both events in the summer of 2023.
