Pair of Top-Four Matches Ahead for Men's Squash at Home This Weekend

The nation's No. 3-ranked team will host No. 2 and No. 4 this weekend at the racquet center in Princeton's Meadows Neighborhood as the Princeton men's squash team meets Yale on Saturday and Trinity on Sunday with both matches starting at noon.

Princeton is 3-0 on the season with wins over Navy, Drexel and Williams, all by scores of 9-0 or 8-1. Yale has turned in a pair of 7-2 wins over Drexel and Virginia, and Trinity is 4-0 with wins over Tufts, Middlebury, Colby and Bates, all by no closer than 7-2. The Bantams will open the weekend at Penn on Saturday before heading to Princeton. These will be the first matches for any of the teams since early December, and with Penn at No. 1, this weekend will included the highest-ranked opponents for any of the teams on the new season so far. Trinity coach Moustafa Hamada was an assistant under Sean Wilkinson at Princeton from 2018-22.
Yale won last season's match in Connecticut 7-2 after Princeton won 5-4 in Jadwin two seasons ago. Trinity has won the last two against the Tigers, 6-3 last season in Hartford after a 5-3 Bantams win in the Potter Cup opener in 2023. Princeton's last win over Trinity came during the 2023 regular season, 7-2 in Princeton.
Avi Agarwal, Zain Ahmed, Thomas Rosini, Aly Ibrahim, Hassan Khalil, Federico Sosa, Yuvraj Wadhwani and Gordon Lam are all 3-0 on the season heading into the weekend.
Following the visit from the Connecticut teams, Princeton will have a split weekend as the Ivy League season continues, hosting Cornell next Friday, Jan. 17, before a trip to Columbia on Sunday, Jan. 19.
