PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton university wrestling team will split up and hit the road for two competitions on Friday, January 10, including a dual meet against Morgan State in Baltimore and the F&M Open in Lancaster. The F&M Open will begin at 9am, while the dual with Morgan State will begin at 2 p.m.

About the Tigers
- Princeton most recently dropped a home dual to #22 West Virginia, 27-12, with four Tigers picking up wins in the contest.
- #31 Eligh Rivera (141) picked up a 7-2 decision over #27/25 Jordan Titus, improving his record in duals to 3-1 this season with an overall record of 5-3.
- #7/10 Ty Whalen (149) made his return to the mat with a 17-13 decision victory from behind over Sam Hillegas. The sophomore is now 10-0 on the season after winning his weight class at the Princeton Open on November 3rd and going 5-0 in duals since.
- Dan Jones (133) defeated Mason Kernan by gutting out a 6-5 decision, improving the first-year's record to 5-2 this season.
- #31/26 Mikey Squires (184) also continued his so-far strong season with another clutch 7-4 decision over Ian Bush. The Princeton Open Champion is now 10-5 on the season.
- Before West Virginia, the Tigers competed at the Midlands Championships in Chicago on Dec. 29 and 30, with three Tigers placing in their respective weight classes and Princeton placing 10th overall of 25 teams.
- Marc-Anthony McGowan and Chloe Ayres took fifth place medals, while Sebastian Garibaldi claimed sixth.
- #29/28 McGowan made his collegiate debut at the tournament, winning fifth place in the 125 weight class after going 6-2 on the weekend.
- Garibaldi is 10-5 on the season after going 3-2 at Midlands with two pins and a tech fall accounting for the three victories. The junior is now 3-3 in duals and 7-2 in tournaments after beginning the season by winning the 285 championship title at the Princeton Open in November.
- Princeton is 2-5 in dual meets so far this year, with wins against LIU and UTC. Before Midlands, the Tigers dropped a home dual meet to Rutgers.
About the Coaches
- The Tigers are led by two-time national champion Head Coach Joe Dubuque, in his second season at the helm of the program. Joining Dubuque this year are two new assistant coaches - Cody Brewer, who comes to Princeton from Virginia Tech, and 2019 NCAA Champion Anthony Ashnault, who is beginning his coaching career after an impressive collegiate wrestling career at Rutgers.
About Morgan State
- Morgan State is 2-8 in duals this season, picking up wins over Marymount and Nassau Community College.
- Most recently, Morgan State dropped a dual to Hofstra, 27-19, on the road on Dec. 21st, also picking up the win over Nassau that day.
- Last time out, the Bears made the trip up to New Jersey, with the Tigers prevailing in a 39-3 victory last season.
