Men's Water Polo Sweeps NWPC Awards As Team Prepares to Host Three Conference Matchups

PRINCETON, N.J.- The Princeton men's water polo is back home after a long road stretch to host three conference opponents in MIT, Brown and Harvard.
The Tigers own a 12-3 record and picked up their first two conference wins against Iona and LIU this past weekend.
Princeton looks to carry its momentum into the crucial NWPC weekend as the Tigers face a doubleheader with MIT and Brown on Saturday before the weekend finale against Harvard on Sunday morning.
Kristóf Kovács had another strong showing on his way to his fourth consecutive NWPC Defensive Player of the Week Honors. In two games, Kovács recorded 27 saves along with four assists, one steal and his first career goal. Kovács moved up to second on the program's career saves list with 732 total.
JP Ohl did what he does best and tossed 18 assists on the weekend. The senior tallied eight helpers against LIU, tying the program's single game assist record. Ohl added four goals and a drawn exclusion to the weekend stat sheet to be named the NWPC Player of the Week for the second time this season. Ohl has 217 career assists is now just three assist away from tying Ryan Wilson's '19 program assist record and four from breaking it.
Otto Stothart picked up his second NWPC Rookie of the Week honors with five goals, nine drawn exclusions, one steal and one block across two games.
