PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton University women's rugby team faces Ivy League opponent Brown in Providence, Rhode Island, on Oct. 18 at 12 p.m.at Berylson Family Fields.
Down To The Wire At Queens
Princeton battled valianty and almost left Charlotte, North Carolina, with a win against Queens on Oct. 11. While the Tigers fell just short, 40-33, Malinka Kwemo scored three times, Ava Gregory once and Myah Natorp once. Ciara Loughran successfully completed four conversions.
A Historic 2024
The Tigers will aim to build off a historic 2024 season where they earned their first varsity 15s victory, a 59-0 triumph over Bowdoin on Sept. 21. In addition, Princeton defeated Mount St. Mary's, 49-12, on Oct. 26.
Try Time For Kwemo
Playing in her first match of the 2025 season on Sept. 26, Malinka Kwemo scored for the Tigers against Navy. She backed that up with a hat trick at Queens.
The Returners
Including Kwemo, who was named All-National Intercollegiate Rugby Association (NIRA) Honorable Mention in 2024, the Tigers return seniors Alyssa Brigham, Luiza Chevres, Annabelle Edwards, Kenzy Elshazly, Samantha Handwerk, Megan Hickey, Ciara Loughran and Nanya Offor along with juniors Eliana Bane, Laura Barnds, Alana Ferguson, Ava Gregory, Maya Kenny, Hannah Mulligan and Celia Watson. Returning sophomores include Annie Huettel, Lila King, Lindsey Mulligan and Raven Robinson.
The Newcomers
Six new sophomores join the Tigers for 2025; Malica Feratovic, Josie Frazer, Stella McBride, Rena Palmer, Riley Pan and Amelia Wray. The Tigers' five first years are Miller, Myah Natorp, Hazel Pron, Charlie Wolfe and Sara Zavieh.
Scouting Brown
The Bears are 1-4 in 2025, and most recently overcame Liu on Oct. 11 in Brooklyn, New York, 55-14.
