Alice Ferlito Punches Ticket To NCAA Individual Championships

PHILADELPHIA, Pa.- Alice Ferlito led the way for the Princeton women's team at the ITA Northeast Regional.

Ferlito advanced through the bracket to make it to the semifinal round. She was set to face off against Gayathri Krishnan of Columbia on Monday morning with a ticket to the NCAA Singles Championships on the line.

Ferlito earned a convincing 6-4, 6-2 victory over Krishnan to clinch a spot in the NCAA Individual Championships in Lake Nona, Fla.

The tournament will take place from Nov. 18-23 at the USTA National Campus. Ferlito becomes just the third Princeton women's tennis player since 2014 to qualify for the NCAA Singles Championship.

Ferlito will compete against Esha Velega of Penn on Tuesday at 10:00 in the ITA Northeast Regionals singles championship match.
