Women’s Hockey Falls To No. 13/14 Yale In Overtime
October 25, 2025 | Women's Ice Hockey
NEW HAVEN, Conn.- The Princeton women's hockey team took on the No. 13/14 Yale Bulldogs on Saturday afternoon to wrap up the opening weekend of conference play.
Jane Kuehl continued her stellar weekend with a goal halfway through the first period to open the scoring. Kuehl carried the puck up the ice and flipped it over the Yale goalkeeper's shoulder to give Princeton a 1-0 lead. The tally gave Kuehl her second goal in as many games and three points on the weekend.
With a one goal advantage in the second frame, the Tigers earned a power play ready to add to the lead. Princeton took full advantage of the power play as Mackenzie Alexander scored with just one second left on the man-up opportunity. Rosie Klein and Megan Healy each recorded assists on the goal as the Tigers went up by two.
The Bulldogs made it a one goal game in the second period thanks to a goal on a six-on-four advantage from Carina DiAntonio.
DiAntonio found the back of the net twice in the third to give Yale a 3-2 lead heading into the final stretch.
As time clicked off the clock, Princeton pulled keeper Uma Corniea to give the Tigers an extra attacker. That decision paid off as a full offensive onslaught took place before Katherine Khramtsov pushed the puck into the net to send the game to overtime.
Ultimately, the Bulldogs came out on top as DiAntonio scored her fourth goal of the contest in overtime to give Yale a 4-3 win.
Megan Healy tallied two points on two assists to lead the Tigers and Corniea had 23 saves.
Princeton will have its home opener on Friday Oct. 31 against RPI at 3:00 p.m.
