No. 22 Women’s Swimming & Diving Keeps Cannon Trophy At Home With Win Over Rutgers

PRINCETON, N.J.- The Princeton women's swimming & diving team kept things rolling with a victory against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights.
The Tigers won 14 of 16 events to keep the Cannon Trophy home at DeNunzio Pool.
The relay squad of Delaney Herr, Eliza Brown, Sabrina Johnston and Sophia Sunwoo kicked off the meet with a win in the 200 medley relay.
Dakota Tucker won two individual events in the 200 IM and the 1000 free. Eleanor Sun also won two events, the 200 free and the 200 breaststroke.
Herr finished first in the 100 back followed by a win from Brown in the 100 breaststroke.
Chloe Kim led the way to a 1-2-3 finish in the 200 butterfly with Heidi Smithwick and Savannah Skow to round out the top placements. Kim also picked up a win in the 500 free.
Sabrina Johnston finished first in the 100 free just shy of her program record.
Princeton claimed four of the top spots in the 200 backstroke with Grace Black touching the wall first.
Skow earned the win in the 100 fly before Charlotte Martinkus picked up a win on the 1 meter.
The 400 freestyle relay group of Johnston, Herr, Sun and Smithwick finished out the day with a victory to help Princeton earn a dominant 212.5-87.5 win against Rutgers.
The win moves the Tigers to 3-0 on the year for a successful home opener.
