PRINCETON, N.J. — Anna McNatt and Meg Madison will represent Princeton at the NCAA Championships in Columbia, Mo. on Saturday.
McNatt and Madison have led the Tigers to an extraordinary season, including a second-consecutive Ivy League Championship title.
At Heps, McNatt and Madison finished first and second, the first time two teammates have achieved that feat since 2012.
McNatt, clearing the finish line first by seven seconds, clocked in at 20:35.0. Her time set a new Ivy Heps course record for Van Cortlandt Park. Madison was next across the finish line, clocking in at 20:42.7. Madison and McNatt both ran under the previous Princeton Heps course record, besting Olympian Elizabeth Bird's time of 20:47.4 from 2015.
At Regionals last Friday, the Tigers took fifth place, going 8-12-22-25-32 for a team score of 99.
Madison was across the line first for Princeton, kicking out a net 23 runners between mile two and the finish for a time of 19:47.8.
McNatt was just behind her, clocking in at 19:51.3 after passing one runner to place 12th.
For their individual placements, both automatically qualified for the NCAA Championships.
The pair have been dominant all season, consistently finishing at the front of the pack for Princeton.
Led by Head Coach Brad Hunt, these two Tigers will look to cap off a strong cross country season tomorrow at Gans Creek.
