Charlotte Norman Sets 3-Meter Pool Record on First Day at Big Al Invitational

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton University women's swimming & diving team opened competition at the Big Al Invitational Thursday at DeNunzio Pool on a day highlighted by Charlotte Norman setting a new pool record in the 3-meter diving.
Norman earned a score of 347.85 to set a new DeNunzio Pool record and earn a first-place finish. Charlotte Martinkus took second on the 3-meter board (317.70) and Vivian Brennan seventh (246.00).
In the 400 medley relay, the team of Delaney Herr, Eliza Brown, Savannah Skow and Chloe Kim earned the win with a time of 3:39.00.
The quartet of Sophia Sunwoo, Sabrina Johnston, Edie Simecek and Veronique Rossouw also won the 200 freestyle relay (1:29.60).
Five Tigers made it to the A final of the 50 freestyle, with Sabrina Johnston finishing first (22.41), Delaney Herr fourth (22.97), Heidi Smithwick fifth (23.02), Veronique Rossouw sixth (22.13) and Edie Simecek seventh (23.25).
Four Tigers advanced to the A final of the 200 IM, with Eleanor Sun coming in first (1:56.55), Sophie Segerson second (1:59.25), Heidi Smithwick fifth (2:01.57) and Chloe Kim eighth (2:02.50).
Margaret Hayes finished eighth in the 50 backstroke (26.46).
