Big Al Invitational Continues for Women's Swimming & Diving

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton University women's swimming & diving team earned three event victories on the second day of competition at the Big Al Invitational Friday at DeNunzio Pool.

The quartet of Delaney Herr, Heidi Smithwick, Savannah Skow and Sophia Sunwoo earned a first-place finish in the 200 medley relay in 1:38.43.
Princeton also won the 800 freestyle relay after the team of Chloe Kim, Sabrina Johnston, Eleanor Sun and Heidi Smithwick finished in 7:13.46.
The Tigers picked up a 1-2 finish in the 400 IM, with Chloe Kim (4:09.82) winning the event and Eleanor Sun (4:10.17) coming in second. Sophie Segerson (4:16.52) finished fourth and Meg Wheeler (4:17.15) fifth.
The 200 freestyle saw Savannah Skow (1:48.31) finish second and Jenna Walters (1:50.34) fifth.
In the 100 backstroke, Sabrina Johnston (52.94) earned a second-place finish. Sophia Sunwoo (54.17) took fifth and Delaney Herr (54.89) seventh.
Heidi Smithwick (53.65) finished third, Edie Simecek (53.71) fourth, Savannah Skow (53.75) sixth and Delaney Herr (54.50) eighth in the 100 butterfly.
On the 1-meter board, Charlotte Norman (285.30) came in third and Vivian Brennan (227.70).
Eliza Brown (1:03.58) took fourth in the 100 breaststroke while Sophie Segerson (1:03.75) came in fifth and Katherine Sanders (1:05.36) eighth.
