No. 20 Princeton Falls to Charleston, 3-1 in Game One

CHARLESTON, W.V. – The no. 20 Princeton men's volleyball team fell 3-1 (26-24, 24-26, 24-26, 16-25) to Charleston on Friday night on the road.
Nyherowo Omene led Princeton with 18 kills on the night. Henry Wedbush led the Tigers with 42 assists.
Ryan Vena posted an impressive .643 hitting percentage, going 9-0-14 while also notching four service aces.
Defensively, Tristan Whitfield made four block assists while Roan Alviar earned a team-high six digs.
How It Happened
The first set was fairly even between the Tigers and the Golden Eagles through the first half of the set, with the game tied at 11 apiece. Going on a 4-2 run, Princeton was able to start building a lead, with Jameson Vaccaro and Mason Rice each earning a kill.
Keeping the set close, Princeton and Charleston were tied at 21-21 and again at 23-23. Two errors from Charleston put the Tigers in a winning position, before Vaccaro made a kill to call the set in the Tigers' favor, 26-24.
Set two followed a similar pattern as the two sides stayed within two points of one another with the match tied late at 21, 23 and 24 apiece. Two kills from the Golden Eagles won the set, tying the match at 1-1.
Set three was again down to the wire, with the set tied at 23-23 and 24-24. Again, a kill by the Golden Eagles earned the set point to put Charleston ahead.
In set four, Charleston outpaced the Tigers early to begin building up a lead, which was expanded on with a 4-0 run in the middle of the set. Despite some late kills from Omene, the Tigers could not find their way back, with the set going to Charleston 25-16.
