With another 5-0 run, including three kills by Omene, the Tigers extended their lead to begin closing in on the set. Down the stretch, another 5-0 run off of two service aces by Tristan Whitfield brought the score to 24-15, before another Omene kill called the set, 25-16.
In set two, the Tigers were narrowly trailing the Golden Eagles, keeping themselves within two points through the majority of the set. Leading 2-1, the Tigers looked to finish strong in the fourth set. The set was tied at seven apiece, when a series of attack errors from the Golden Eagles helped Princeton ahead. A 5-1 run mid-set with kills from Omene and Owen Mellon, plus another Whitfield ace, allowed Princeton to extend its lead to 19-13. Closing in on set point, Rice, Whitfield and Wedbush added another kill each, before a service error by Charleston called game, with the Tigers taking the win 3-1.
