A kill by Omene tied it again at 24-24, but it was LMU who won the final two points of set and picked up the 26-24 win to go up 2-0 in the match.
The third set began as a back-and-forth battle, with Lincoln Memorial edging ahead, 13-9. A Mason Rice kill followed by a double block by Omene and Tristan Whitfield then a Wedbush service ace narrowed the deficit to one, 16-15, but the Railsplitters responded with a 3-0 run of their own to push their lead back out to 19-15.
