Gorman Named First-Team All-Ivy To Lead Men's Hockey Ivy Awards
March 12, 2025 | Men's Ice Hockey
End of season Ivy League awards have been announced for men's hockey, and four Tigers are among the honorees.
Brendan Gorman leads the way with his selection as a first-team All-Ivy forward. He is joined as All-Ivy honorees by defenseman David Ma and goalie Ethan Pearson who were chosen as honorable mention All-Ivy. Senior Alex Konovalov was also recognized by the Ivy League as an Academic All-Ivy recipient.
Gorman, who was named third-team All-ECAC earlier this week, had nine points in his 10 Ivy League games to pace Princeton in scoring during Ivy play. He scored four goals and added five assists, leading Princeton in goals, assists and points during Ivy play.
After missing all of the 2023-24 season due to injury, David Ma was an offensive force for Princeton from the back end in Ivy games. He registered six points on two goals and four assists during Ivy play, while also blocking 12 shots.
In goal, Ethan Pearson was 3-3-2 in his eight Ivy starts with a .900 save percentage and a 2.41 goals-against average to pick up his second career honorable mention All-Ivy selection.
Already a three-time Academic All-ECAC selection and a 2023 Krampade AHCA Academic All-American, Alex Konovalov has now added Academic All-Ivy honors to his collection. On the ice, he had a career year overall with 11 points in 27 total games and picked up three assists in seven Ivy games.
