Tessa Mudd Named Ivy Athlete of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. – After setting a new Ivy League record in the pole vault, Tessa Mudd was named the Ivy Athlete of the Week, the league announced Monday.
The award is Mudd's first weekly nod of her career.
On Saturday at the Texas A&M 44 Farms Team Invitational, Mudd cleared 4.38m/14-4.5" to take fifth in the pole vault invite. Her mark bested her own Ivy League record of 4.31m/ 14-2'', set last year at the Villanova Invitational.
Her mark currently ranks 11th nationally and third in the East region.
The two-time Ivy Champion and two-time NCAA qualifier across indoor and outdoor championships, Mudd's performance adds another accolade to an already impressive career as she enters her junior outdoor season.
Up next, Mudd and the Tigers will be back in action this weekend as they head south for the Wake Forest Invitational and the Virginia Challenge on Friday and Saturday.
