Blake Named Ivy League Attacker Of The Year To Lead Women's Lacrosse All-Ivy

An Ivy League championship season has resulted in a plethora of postseason accolades as the Princeton Tigers have secured All-Ivy honors as voted on by the League's head coaches.
McKenzie Blake was named unanimous Ivy League Attacker of the Year and a unanimous first-team All-Ivy selection after a dominant offensive season for the Tigers, leading seven All-Ivy selections among Tiger players.
In addition to Blake, Haven Dora and Dylan Allen were also named first-team All-Ivy. Amelia Hughes, Jami MacDonald, Abigail Roberts and Sophie Whiteway were chosen as second-team All-Ivy.
Princeton's coaching staff, which secured its first Ivy League championship as a group, was named Ivy League Coaching Staff of the Year after earning an outright Ivy title.
Another All-Ivy postseason accolade for the Tigers came to Paige Vegna who was named Academic All-Ivy.
McKenzie Blake is the fifth Princeton attacker to be named Ivy League Attacker of the Year since the award was first presented in 2013, and the third to be a unanimous selection (Elizabeth George, 2019; Kyla Sears, 2022). A Tewaaraton Nominee, Blake leads the Ivy League in goals (66) and goals-per-game (4.4) and ranks No. 4 in the country in goals-per-game while ranking No. 7 in total goals. She is second in the Ivy League in points (73) and points-per-game (4.9). Blake was the only player in the Ivy League to earn multiple Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week honors this season, twice scoring eight goals in a game to tie the program record and become the only player in program history to score eight times in a game twice.
Blake is now a three-time first-team All-Ivy selection.
Princeton's other two first-team All-Ivy selections earned the honor for the first time. Haven Dora followed up a second-team All-Ivy honor in 2024 with first-team designation this year. She sits third in the Ivy League in points (72), points-per-game (4.8), assists (47) and assists-per-game (3.1). She set the Princeton program record for assists in a season along the way while twice setting a new single-game record with seven assists in a game and is closing in on the program career record of 98 as she is four away from tying that mark.
Defender Dylan Allen is a first-time All-Ivy selection, earning first team honors in her debut on the League's postseason awards list. Princeton's top matchup defender, she is No. 2 on the Tigers with 15 caused turnovers and No. 3 in ground balls with 21.
Goalkeeper Amelia Hughes is now a three-time All-Ivy selection, picking up her second career second-team All-Ivy honor. Hughes is tied for the Ivy lead in save percentage (.495) and is second in saves-per-game (9.20) and third among primary starters in GAA (10.89) this season. The Ivy League's Defensive Player of the Week on March 10, Hughes made 19 saves that week while allowing 13 goals in wins over Penn State and Harvard. She has seven games this season with 10+ saves, three coming in Ivy wins. She had a save percentage of .500 or better in eight of 15 starts, including four Ivy games.
A third Princeton attacker secured All-ivy honors as Jami MacDonald was named second-team All-Ivy for her first career All-Ivy nod. MacDonald is second on the Tigers with 43 goals second in assists with 26 to give her 69 points which ranks third on the team. She sits No. 4 in the Ivy League in points and points-per-game (4.6), ranks No. 5 in the Ivy League in goals and No. 6 in goals-per-game (2.9) and she is No. 6 in assists and No. 7 in assists-per-game (1.7).
Defender Abigail Roberts picked up her second consecutive second-team All-Ivy selection. Princeton's leader in draw controls with 67, Roberts also leads in caused turnovers with 16 and ground balls with 30.
Midfielder Sophie Whiteway has earned her first career All-Ivy accolade with her selection as a second-team All-Ivy honoree. A key two-way cog for the Tigers, Whiteway is second on the team in draw controls (62) while serving as primary draw specialist and is No. 2 in caused turnovers (15) and fifth in goals (17). Her 62 draw controls rank No. 8 among Ivy League players. She earned Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week honors April 7 after tallying 12 draws, 4 CTs,  and 3 GBs while scoring twice and adding two assists in wins over Cornell and Stony Brook.
Senior defender Paige Vegna saved her career year for her last season as she started all 15 games on defense and set career highs with 17 ground balls and 10 caused turnovers. An IWLCA Academic Honor Squad selection last year, Vegna has received Academic All-Ivy honors for the first time.
