
Quincy Monday '23 to Compete at USA Wrestling Senior World Team Trials

PRINCETON, N.J. – Princeton wrestling alum Quincy Monday will compete in the USA Wrestling Senior World Team Trials this Friday and Saturday, May 16th and 17th in Louisville, Ky.
Monday, a two-time All-American and NCAA finalist, is pre-seeded second in the 74kg weight class.
While at Princeton, Monday was an EIWA champion. With three NCAA qualifications, Monday made the finals in 2022 before again wrestling up to third place the following year, making him just the fourth Tiger in program history to earn two top-three NCAA finishes.
He was a three-time First Team All-Ivy honoree and a four-time EIWA Academic Award recipient.
Since graduating from Princeton in 2023, Monday has continued to wrestle with the New Jersey Regional Training Center (NJRTC).
In 2024, Monday was named the USA Wrestling Athlete of the Week after an exceptional performance at the Grand Prix of Spain, going 4-0 on the weekend.
Earlier this year, Monday won gold at the Dan Kolov - Nikola Petrov International. He was the only men's freestyle medalist for Team USA.
The winners of the World Team Trials will advance to the Final X next month, which will be held in Newark, N.J. to determine who will represent Team USA at the Senior World Championships.
The World Team Trials will start at 10 a.m. on Friday with preliminaries and quarterfinals, with semifinals to be held Friday evening.
