Women's Golf Tied For 8th At Charlottesville Regional After First Round

Princeton sits eighth after the first round of the Charlottesville Regional, tied with Central Florida at +14 as a team through the opening day of play.

Olivia Duan leads Princeton and is in 18th place after her first 18 holes, shooting an opening-round 72 (+1). She had one birdie and two bogeys on her card, parring the remaining 15 holes.

Catherine Rao is in 31st place after shooting a 73 (+2) to open her NCAA Tournament. Rao carded six birdies in the first round -- tied for third-most by any player in the field -- but four bogeys and a pair of double bogeys stymied her momentum over the first round. Rao was -1 over the back nine, hoping to carry that into Tuesday's second round.

The Tigers resume play at 8:55 a.m. for the second round.
