June 24, 2025 | Women's Soccer
A pair of Princeton goalkeepers in rising junior Cecilia Cerone and incoming freshman Carson Proctor have been invited to U.S. Soccer Youth National Team camps, the national soccer federation has announced.
Cerone will head to the U.S. U-20 camp in Carson, Calif., and Proctor will go to Fayetteville, Ga., for a U-18 camp co-held with the U-19s. Both camps will run June 24 through July 1, and each Tiger is one of 24 players and one of three keepers invited in their respective age groups.
The camps are part of U.S. Soccer's U.S. Way program, giving players eligible for Youth National Teams more opportunities to join the pathway toward representing Team USA at international events.
Cerone, backing up now-graduated Tyler McCamey each of the past two seasons, played in two games each as a freshman and a sophomore, getting wins against Lafayette and UMBC last season while going the distance in each game and finishing the season with an 0.50 GAA.
Proctor is the 11th-ranked goalkeeper in the nation in the incoming class, per TopDrawerSoccer, and received an invite to a U.S. Soccer U-17 YNT camp in 2024.
