Three From Women’s Track & Field To Compete At U23 British Trials

PRINCETON, N.J. – Georgina Scoot, Mena Scatchard and Olivia Martin of the Princeton University women's track & field team will compete at the U23 British Trials from June 28-29 at the Cardiff International Sports Campus in Cardiff, Wales.
Scoot will compete in the long jump and triple jump, Scatchard in the 1,500 meters and Martin the 800 meters. The trio will aim to make the British team for the U23 European Athletics Championships in Bergen, Norway, from July 17-20.
Scoot is currently ranked No. 4 in long jump in the UK and is the No. 1 Brit among the U23 age group. She's ranked No. 11 in U23 European athletics. In triple jump, Scoot is ranked No. 4 in the UK, the No. 1 Brit in the U23 age group and No. 18 in U23 European athletics.
In the U23 age group, Scatchard is ranked No. 2 in Britain in the 1,500 and No. 3 in Europe. She is also ranked No. 2 in Britain and No. 4 in Europe in the 800.
Martin is currently ranked No. 5 in the U23 age group in Britain in the 800. Recently she moved up from No. 10 to No. 6 on the Tigers' all-time list in the list in the 800 (2:04.58) and to No. 7 in the 1,500 (4:19.52), entering Princeton's all-time top-10 for the first time in the event.
