Catherine Rao Named Golfweek Magazine All-American

Junior Catherine Rao has been named honorable mention All-American by Golfweek Magazine after an Ivy League Player of the Year season which established her as one of the elite collegiate women's golfers in the country.

A selection to the ANNIKA Award Watch List, Rao competed in eight tournaments for the Tigers, winning two of them and finishing in the Top-10 in seven of eight appearances.

She opened her season with a win at the Nittany Lion Invitational and added her second victory at the Columbia Classic in February. Along the way, she was second at the Princeton Invitational and third at the Ivy League Championship. Other Top-10 results include finishing 8th at the Yale Invitational, 9th at the Boilermaker Classic and 9th at the NCAA Charlottesville Regional.

Outside of her play for the Tigers, Rao made history as the first Ivy Leaguer to earn an invitation to the Augusta National Women's Amateur.

Over her 24 rounds of competitive play for the Tigers this season, Rao averaged 70.9 and ended the season ranked No. 52 in the individual rankings.
