Princeton Soccer Alums Rudell ‘91 and McCabe ‘91 Start New Podcast “An American Game”

PRINCETON, N.J. – Princeton soccer alums Kirk Rudell '91 and Tom McCabe '91 started a new podcast "An American Game" which explores the history of soccer in the United States.
McCabe, an award-winning teacher, author and filmmaker, is one of the pre-eminent soccer historians in the United States, while Rudell has had an accomplished career as a television writer and producer.
McCabe and Rudell were teammates while at Princeton, with McCabe serving as a captain his senior season alongside current Head Coach Jim Barlow. McCabe, a two-time All-Ivy Honorable Mention, also holds the Princeton career record in saves with 406 over his time in the Orange & Black.
"An American Game" is not the first collaboration between the two former Tigers. Rudell and McCabe teamed up in 2020 to make "SOCCERTOWN, USA", a documentary about three former World Cup players who came from the same town in New Jersey.
Now turning to the podcast space, the pair's newest creation focuses on the sport they love as the United States looks to host the World Cup next year. "An American Game" is now available on all platforms.
