Scoring
Princeton had three members of its women's golf team entered at the 125th U.S. Women's Amateur and two have advanced through stroke play to be among the 64 players bracketed in Match Play at Bandon Dunes in Oregon.
Senior Catherine Rao, the 2025 Ivy League Player of the Year, was T4 over the 36 holes of stroke play, shooting rounds of 70 (-2) and 67 (-5) to finish at 137 (-7) which was two strokes off the lead. Rao was on fire to start Round One, posting six birdies on her front nine before finding some trouble on her way in en route to a two-under 70. In the second round, Rao finished in fine form as she birdied six of her last 10 holes -- without any bogeys -- to surge up the leaderboard and safely advance to Match Play.
Sophomore Olivia Duan, the 2025 Ivy League Rookie of the Year, shot even par both days with matching 72s to slot in at 144 which was T44 to advance through.
Incoming first-year golfer Sarah Lim finished T59 alongside 14 other players and was in a playoff looking for one of the final six spots. That playoff went six holes before Lim was ultimately the last player eliminated. In stroke play, Lim was +2 (74) in the first round, and followed up with a 71 (-1) in the second round to stay above the cut line and have a shot at the 15-for-6 playoff.
