September 15, 2025 | Men's Soccer
PRINCETON, N.J. – Jack Jasinski was named Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.
The award comes after Jasinski scored a goal and tallied an assist in Princeton's 3-0 win over Villanova on Saturday, the senior defender's second three-point performance this season. It is Jasinski's second time earning Player of the Week honors, and the first time a Princeton player has earned the award season.
With two goals and two assists across three games, Jasinski now leads the Ivy League in points per game with 2.00. His two goals also have him leading the Tigers in goals.
Jasinski's efforts on the back line also helped Princeton get a shutout over the Wildcats on the road in Pennsylvania.
Off to a hot start this season, Jasinski, a United Soccer Coaches Preseason Defender to Watch, scored the game-winner and assisted the Tigers' first goal of the season when Princeton hosted Rutgers for the season opener on September 5.
His performance earned him a spot as an Honorable Mention on the TopDrawerSoccer Team of the Week last Tuesday.
Jasinski and the Tigers will be back in action tomorrow as they host UMass at 7 p.m. in Roberts Stadium.
