Women’s Tennis Wins 8 Matches at Columbia Quad

New York, N.Y.- The Princeton women's tennis team competed at the Columbia Quad on Saturday and Sunday. The Tigers faced players from Columbia and App State across the two days of play.
Princeton secured four matches on day one, three in singles and one in doubles.
Madeleine Jessup picked up her first win of the 2025-26 season with a 6-3, 7-5 victory over Michelle Li.
Pearlie Zhang defeated Sophia Wang in a three set battle 6-2, 4-6, 6-4.
Anna Maria Fedotova collected her first career victory with a win in straight sets over Amber Yin 6-2, 6-4.
Fedotova and Jessup teamed up in doubles for the Tigers, picking up a 6-4 victory over Krishnan and Lin.
On the second day, Princeton players faced off against players from App State and secured four victories.
Berklie Simmering and Zhang picked up a 6-1 doubles win over Ellegra Hodson and Sreenidhi Balaji.
Zhang carried that into singles play with a 6-2, 6-4 victory against Balaji.
Fedotova collected her second singles victory of the weekend in a tight three set match against Taya Powell with a final score of 6-2, 3-6, 10-8.
Jessup also won her second singles match of the Columbia Quad with a dominant 6-0, 6-0 victory over Ruby Broadbent.
