Valenzuela Earns Ivy League Rookie of the Week Recognition

Mia Valenzuela went on a five-game hitting streak to start her Princeton softball career, and along the way, she's added the honor of being named the first Ivy League Rookie of the Week for the 2026 season.Â
Valenzuela hit .389 on the five-game weekend, getting two hits apiece against Stony Brook and North Florida while putting together the hitting streak, adding two doubles and two homers to slug .833 on the weekend.Â
Princeton won four of five games on the opening weekend and will head to North Carolina this weekend for five games combined against host UNC, North Carolina Central, Appalachian State, and Rider.Â
