Softball's Hale Named Ivy League Player of the Week
February 23, 2026 | Softball
A .600 weekend at the plate has helped Princeton sophomore Braeden Hale to the honor as the Ivy League Player of the Week.
In three games against App State, twice, and North Carolina, teams that have a combined record of 25-2 through the weekend, Hale went 6 for 10 at the plate and slugged 1.100 with two doubles and a homer.Â
Hitting .607 for the season and with the nation's fifth-best batting average entering the week, Hale has a hit in all eight games she has played and has driven in a run in seven straight games with nine RBI on the season. Six of her 17 hits on the season have gone for extra bases as she has slugged .964 through the first two weekends of play. With two walks added in, Hale's .633 on-base percentage is 15th-best in the nation.
Hale and Princeton will be away from competition before a five-game weekend in San Diego beginning March 7.
