McMeekin Leads Princeton Past Lehigh 15-8
March 31, 2026 | Men's Lacrosse
Tuesday night. Saturday afternoon. League game. Non-league game. When Andrew McMeekin puts up the numbers he did against Lehigh, the Princeton men's lacrosse team's chances are pretty good.
McMeekin went 16 for 18 with 13 groundballs to lead the Tigers to a 15-8 win over Lehigh Tuesday night on Sherrerd Field.
Nate Kabiri had a three-goal, two-assist night as Princeton never trailed and had the lead for the final 58:19. The Tigers built a four-goal lead after the first quarter at 6-2, led 10-3 at the break and built it to 10 at 14-4 late in the third.
Chad Palumbo followed up a five-goal game against Brown Saturday with three goals and an assist, and Jake Vana and Tucker Wade scored twice each.
The big story for Princeton, besides McMeekin, was a reversal of the statistical anomalies from Saturday's 20-14 win. After having 11 failed clears in that game, Princeton was 20 for 21 against Lehigh. After allowing six extra-man goals against Brown, Princeton held Lehigh to 0 for 5 in EMO opportunities. Princeton had 11 caused turnovers against Lehigh after having only one against Brown.
The win improved Princeton to 7-2 overall heading into the final non-league regular season game, Saturday at Vermont.
