Wright Named Ivy Pitcher of the Week

Brielle Wright threw in four of Princeton's five games over the past week and allowed just two runs over 15 1/3 innings, helping the Tigers during a 4-1 week and gaining recognition as the Ivy League Pitcher of the Week.
Wright went 2-1 with a 0.91 ERA over 15.1 innings across those four appearances, allowing just two earned runs on 10 hits while striking out 14. She earned wins over Monmouth and Yale, including four one-hit scoreless innings in an 8-0 victory over Monmouth and 3 1/3 scoreless relief innings in Princeton's 2-0 win over Yale in the middle game of the series. It was Princeton's fifth series win in as many Ivy series this season.
Heading into the second-to-last weekend of the Ivy season, Princeton stands 14-1 and with a four-game lead over second-place Harvard, this weekend's opponent.Â
