Kotchasanmanee Sweeps Ivy League Yearly Awards
April 29, 2026 | Women's Golf
Thanana Kotchasanmanee has made Princeton Women's Golf history by becoming the first Tigers to be named both Ivy League Player of the Year and Ivy League Rookie of the Year in the same season.
The third woman since the awards were first presented in 2009 to sweep both major yearly awards, Kotchasanmanee joins Yale's Seo Hee Moon (2011) and Ami Gianchandani (2019) as the only three women to win both. Princeton's Victoria Liu won both Rookie of the Year (2022) and Player of the Year (2023, 2024) during her stellar career, but did not win both in the same year.
Kotchasanmanee is Princeton's eighth Ivy League Player of the Year selection since 2009, and the fourth in a row as she joins Liu (2023, 2024) and Catherina Rao (2025) as recent winners. She is also the second Tiger in as many years to win Ivy League Rookie of the Year, following Olivia Duan last year and the fourth overall.
Currently ranked No. 110 as a player in the country, Kotchasanmanee has two wins this season, including a win this past weekend at the Ivy League Championship at Baltusrol Golf Club. Her other victory came on her home course in the Princeton Invitational in September. She was also second at the St. Andrews Links Collegiate in Scotland in October and fifth at the Boilermaker Spring Classic.
Also named unanimous first-team All-Ivy, Kotchasanmanee was joined by Olivia Duan and Sarah Lim as All-Ivy selections this season.
Olivia Duan, the 2025 Ivy League Rookie of the Year and a first-team All-Ivy honoree last season, is now a two-time All-Ivy selection after earning second-team All-Ivy this season. Co-medalist with Kotchasanmanee at the Princeton Invitational, Duan averaged 73.7 over her 24 rounds of play this season.
Sarah Lim was also named second-team All-Ivy this season, completing a freshman season that included a fifth-place finish at the Princeton Invitational a 12th place result at the Inverness Invitational and a recent seventh-place finish at her first Ivy League Championship.
Caiyi Flora Zhang was also honored with her selection to the Academic All-Ivy team.
