Peter Strecansky to Race at 2026 World Rowing U23 Championships

PRINCETON, N.J. – International competition will continue for Peter Strecansky of the Princeton University men's lightweight rowing team at the 2026 World Rowing U23 Championships.
Strecansky will represent Slovakia in the lightweight men's 1x at the Championships, which take place in Duisburg, Germany, from July 23-26.
The World Rowing U23 Championships will be the second major international competition for Strecansky in 2026; he also represented Slovakia in the lightweight men 1x at the World Rowing Cup III from June 26-28 in Lucerne, Switzerland.
2026 saw Strecansky race on the 3V at Eastern Sprints, helping the boat win gold and secure a 17th Jope Cup for most team points for the Tigers. He was part of a 4+ boat at the Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) National Championships that advanced its Grand Final and earned a fourth-place finish.
