Andrew Samuels Named to United Soccer Coaches Goalkeepers to Watch List

PRINCETON, N.J. – Andrew Samuels has been named to the United Soccer Coaches' Goalkeepers to Watch List, the organization announced Friday.

Samuels returns for his senior season this Fall after an incredible 2025 that saw him lead Princeton to a perfect 7-0-0 Ivy League season without conceding a single goal - the first in league history. His performance between the posts helped the Tigers win the league's first "double" championship, winning the regular season and tournament.

Setting a new program record for most shutouts in a single season (12), Samuels became a national leader in goals-against average (0.37), save percentage (0.897) and shutouts in 2025.

For his efforts, Samuels was named the Ivy League Defensive Player of the Year.

The Burlingame, Calif. native was also named to the MAC Hermann Midseason Watch List last October as one of just four goalkeepers selected.

Heading into this preseason, Samuels is one of eight goalkeepers identified as players to watch.

He and the Tigers will begin the 2026 season on August 28th at home against Villanova.
