Kristin Haraldsdottir, a multiple-time All-America honoree and a member of Princeton's undefeated 2006 NCAA champion crew, is in her fourth season as the assistant coach of Princeton open crew. She joined head coach Lori Dauphiny and assistant coach Helen Goodroad, both of whom were coaches during her All-America seasons.
In her three seasons as a Princeton assistant, the Tigers have gone 35-2 in the regular season and have placed in the Top 4 of the NCAA Championships team competition in all three years. She also helped Princeton sweep the EAWRC Championships in 2011, including wins in the V4 and 3V; last season, Princeton won the team points title at the inaugural Ivy League Sprints.
Haraldsdottir rowed in the 7-seat during his 2006 sophomore season, when Princeton swept through the regular season and won the EAWRC and NCAA championship. She served as stroke the rest of her career and earned multiple All-America honors, including one her senior year. She also won the program's Class of 1983 Award as a senior.
In her first season with the Princeton open crew, the Tigers were a perfect 12-0 during the regular season and captured medals at both the EAWRC and NCAA Championship regattas.
She spent a year in New York City working as a personal trainer after graduation before returning to the Shea Rowing Center to coach the women's program.
