At Princeton — 2018: recorded 63 kills and 34 blocks as part of the middle hitter rotation … had 11 kills and five blocks in win over New Hampshire … had season-high six blocks against Temple … ended career with eight kills and six blocks on Senior Day win over Dartmouth … featured in an episode of "Beyond The Stripes." 2017: earned second-team All-Ivy League honors as middle blocker on Ivy League championship team … ranked second in the Ivy League with a .359 hitting percentage … ranked second on the team with 79 blocks … named the Ivy League Player of the Week after recorded 23 kills and only two errors in home sweep of Dartmouth and Harvard; Dartmouth win featured a career night (17 kills, .762 hitting percentage) … had 11 matches with at least four blocks, including seven in win over NCAA qualifier Howard … had eight kills and two blocks in Ivy League playoff win over Yale … had 10 kills, five blocks and hit .714 in regular season win over Yale, Princeton's first in New Haven since 2007. 2016: started at middle for the second straight season and ranked fifth in the Ivy League in hitting percentage (.336) … average .67 blocks per set … had four kills and a block in NCAA tournament debut against #10 BYU … posted a season-best six blocks in a 3-2 loss to Maryland … had five blocks to go along with five kills and a .571 hitting performance in a sweep of 2015 Ivy co-champion Harvard … had 28 kills and only four errors in Princeton's three matches against Big Ten opponents (Indiana, Maryland, and Rutgers). 2015: ranked third in Ivy League in hitting percentage (.332) and sixth in blocks (.98) as a freshman starter on Princeton's Ivy championship team; Tigers became first team in league history to start 0-3 and still win Ivy title … started every match of the season at middle blocker … recorded 145 kills and 79 blocks … during last eight matches, including seven-match win streak to win title and Ivy playoff, Ibe averaged 2.2 kills and 1.2 blocks while hitting .364 … recorded 11 kills, five blocks and hit .318 in Ivy playoff match at Harvard.
Before Princeton — earned all-state honors, as well as first-team all-conference and all-division honors … set the North Brunswick High record with 519 kills … has only played three full seasons of volleyball … team captain … invited to the Penn State Summer Camp … all-state honoree in track & field; won winter state title in the high jump and placed second in both the high jump and triple jump during the spring … Home News Tribune Track Athlete of the Year … NJSIAA Scholar-Athlete Award honoree … member of the National Honor Society.
Personal — born Feb. 11, 1997 … daughter of Chigozie and Nicole Ibe … has two younger sisters, Chika and Isabella, and a younger brother Chigozie … enjoys writing, watching documentaries, and science … plans to study chemistry.
