At Princeton — 2019: Rowed at 3V. 2018: won gold in the 4V at Eastern Sprints; Tigers won by more than 1.5 seconds over Navy, the only team to beat them during the season … helped the 4V to seven straight wins to close the season, including sweep of Yale and Harvard on the Housatonic. 2017: competed at the Eastern Sprints as a member of the 5V and finished fifth. 2016: won a silver medal in the 5V at Eastern Sprints.

Before Princeton — three-time team MVP for swimming at Arcadia High School … holds the 100 breast school record … reached the CIF-SS finals in both 2014 and 2015.

Personal — born May 31, 1997 … son of Yi Chao and Yuan Chen … has a younger brother Ray … interested in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering.
